Post for August 2nd (Delayed)

Completed in 1477, St. Lorenz Cathedral in Nuremberg became Lutheran in 1525, one of the first in Germany. It was a beautiful place to tour and one of the only church buildings to be spared from the Reformation's iconoclasm. I visited with my family June 9th, 2017.
Beautiful stained glass in St. Lorenz, June 9th, 2017.

Frauenkirche, "Church of Our Lady" in Nuremberg, Germany was commissioned in 1355 by Emperor Charles IV, the first king of Bohemia to become a Holy Roman Emperor. The structure was completed in 1361, but some sources indicate it's been heavily restored. Nuremberg's Hauptmarkt is in the foreground. Also June 9th, 2017.
